Growing Our Knowledge, Strengthening Our Care

Veterinary medicine is constantly evolving, and continuing education is an important part of providing our patients with the highest standard of care. Our veterinary team is committed to continually expanding their knowledge, refining their skills and staying up to date with the latest advances in veterinary medicine.

Growing Our Knowledge, Strengthening Our Care

Rafael has recently taken part in an endocrinology workshop, expanding his knowledge in the diagnosis and management of endocrine conditions.

He is also continuing to build on his orthopaedic surgical knowledge and skills by performing TPLO (tibial plateau levelling osteotomy) surgeries alongside Dr Paul May. These hands-on opportunities allow Rafael to further develop his confidence and expertise in complex orthopaedic procedures.

Andrea has an already extensive knowledge of managing diabetic patients and continues to build on this area of expertise. She has recently completed online education focused on diabetes, as well as attending an in-person endocrinology conference.

Andrea also regularly seeks out continuing education across a broad range of areas, including behaviour, medicine and dermatology. Her ongoing learning helps her stay up to date with current approaches and ensures she can continue providing thoughtful, well-informed care for her patients.

Swee has been busy working through a range of online webinars, exploring topics including behaviour, ophthalmology, neurology, osteoarthritis and diabetes.

She has also attended an ophthalmology workshop hosted by highly respected veterinary ophthalmologist Robyn Stanley. This combination of online learning and hands-on education allows Swee to continue developing her knowledge across a broad range of clinical areas.

Victoria is always seeking out new information to help guide the care of her individual patients. She takes a case-by-case approach, continually looking for the most suitable diagnostic and treatment options, with the patient remaining her first priority.

Victoria is also developing her surgical skills by scrubbing in on more complex surgical cases with Rafael. These hands-on opportunities allow her to gain further experience and confidence while learning from more advanced procedures.

Continuing education isn't simply about attending courses and conferences. It's about bringing new knowledge and skills back into the clinic and applying them to the individual patients in our care.

We're proud of the commitment our veterinary team shows to lifelong learning. Whether through workshops, conferences, online education or hands-on experience, each member of the team is continually looking for ways to grow — ultimately helping us provide the best possible care for our patients and their families.
